Mission:

007 3D exists to further the enjoyment of the James Bond universe. The graphics contained on this site have been modeled by myself using reference from books, pictures, the movies, and other sources such as the James Bond Interactive Dossier.

The purpose of these models is not just to show that I can make some interesting images with my 3D software, but rather that these models may be eventually used for some very interactive applications. I have already hinted to some of these future uses with the upcoming Q Briefing, Bond Cam, and In the Field features. These new features will let you experience 007's world in interesting ways besides just looking at images. For example, the Bond Cam feature will allow you to view the mission from 007's viewpoint. We've all seen the movies over and over, but what did it look like through Bond's eyes? I will be developing animations that let you walk through the various locales as 007 did.

An obvious offspring from this feature would be to develop interactive Bond games. Whether they be still-image adventures, in the spirit of MYST, or a full blown virtual reality adventure where you are actually "in the mission", the possibilities are endless.

So as you are inspecting the models here, keep thinking about how you would like to see these models used. I would be interested in hearing the ideas that each of you come up with. Drop me a line and I will be happy to brainstorm with you.

It has been so long since I've been able to work on this project. As my free time grows, I hope to devote more time to these models. I appreciate the compliments and support I have received from all of you.
